Manchester City "back" and temporarily jumps to the top

Manchester City won another Premier League win to temporarily take the lead of Liverpool at the opening of the 17th stage of the Premier League.

The Citizen performed well and was able to beat Everton 3-1 at Al Ittihad on Saturday afternoon, after a surprise loss to Chelsea at the previous stage.

Brazil's Gabriel Jesús opened the scoring in the 22nd minute and the same player strengthened the scoring with a second goal in the 50th minute.

England striker Dominique Calvert Loewen reduced the score with a header in the 65th minute to make the match even more exciting.

But England striker Rahim Stirling completed Everton's hopes, scoring a third goal in the 69th minute, 3 minutes into the game.

The match saw the return of injured Belgian star Kevin de Bruin, where he replaced the substitute in the second half and did well.

Manchester City is waiting for Liverpool leaders to face Manchester United Sunday at the top of the stage, to allow Citi to regain the lead.

Everton remains seventh in the league, with the possibility of falling to lower positions if Bournemouth or Leicester City or Wolverhampton win.
