Google Inc. has introduced a new feature through its Google Play store, allowing Android users to donate to charitable and non-profit organizations in the United States, as well as to a number of people, including the American Red Cross, MSF and UNICEF.
According to the technology site "The Virgin", Google has dropped its traditional 30% fee when buying an app, according to its new program called "Giving Season on Play".
Product Development Manager Maxime Mae said the process would not be limited to the United States but would also involve Canada, Mexico, Germany, the United Kingdom, France, the United States, and the United States. Spain and Italy, as well as Taiwan and Indonesia in the coming days.
Google has refused to allow app developers to donate to the charity on "Play Store" for various reasons, related to taxes and ordering mechanism, collection and sorting the fixed value (30%) of donations.
