MADRID (AFP) – Valencia defender Chisson Moreau is about to move to Barcelona for six months, leaders of the Primera Liga said Tuesday, a Spanish newspaper said.
Barcelona will pay 2 million euros (2.29 million dollars) for the Morio loan, with a clause allowing the player to be fined 25 million euros in June, announced Thursday the agency AS.
The Barca suffers from a back injury after injuring French defender Samuel Aumetti and needs to be groomed at the knee. Thomas Vermalin, injured for at least a month, will be injured in the leg, reported Reuters.
Morio, 26, from Colombia in Italy at the age of 18, moved to Udinese before moving to Granada and then to Inter Milan in 2017.
Morio was loaned to Valencia in 2017 before finally joining the month of August for around 12 million euros. He has played three games in all competitions this season.
The defender played 27 games with Colombia, but did not join his team at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
