PARIS (Reuters) – French champion Paris Saint-Germain announced Thursday the extension of his contract with goalkeeper Alphonse Ariola until 2023.
The 25-year-old French goalkeeper lost his place in the starting line after recruiting Italian Gianluigi Buffon, but confirmed his commitment to stay longer with the capital's team.

"It was very important for me to continue my career and develop here in Paris Saint-Germain," said Ariola on the club's website.
"This club is not just formed in me but in my heart," he added.
Ariola spent short loans to Lens, Bastia and Villarreal, but was crowned twice with the title of French Champion, the Coupe de France twice and the Coupe de Ligue twice.
