The national football team is under 17 in front of Senegal in its first match of the North African championship for teams under 17 in Morocco.
Senegalese striker Isaga Kani scored the lone goal at halftime.
Saturday's matches will continue with two matches: Senegal will face Algeria in the second match of Group A while Morocco will play Mauritania in the first match against Tunisia 4-0.
The tournament, which will be held in Marrakech, Morocco, will take place from December 18 to 28.
