Noureddine Ould Ali, coach of Palestine, said his team was looking forward to a historic milestone of the 2019 Asian Football Cup next month and stressed the importance of a departure for Syria.
The Palestinians did not leave a trace during their first participation in the 2015 AFC Asian Cup, losing their three group matches but hoping to change the table, even if they play in the second group with Syria , defending champions, Australia and Jordan.
"We represent Palestine and we do not need more motivation to do a good job, we stand out from the rest of the team and every single element of our team is unique" said the coach of Palestine in an interview given to the AFC website.
"We had no experience at this level and it was a new experience for us.We learned many lessons, discovered the problems we face and developed solutions.
"Now we are fully focused and the players know that they can write the story and they are ready to face any team."
"The first game of each tournament is always the most difficult," he said.
