MILAN (Reuters) – AC Milan have played four scoreless Serie A games for the first time since 1984, after a draw (0-0) against Frosinone on Wednesday.

The result, combined with a new modest performance against a team with the worst defensive line in Serie A, will put more pressure on Milan coach Gennaro Gattuso.

Italian media reported that Gattuso could lose his position during the winter break if his team did not improve.

Samuel Castejo of Milan was sent off by post while Frosinone's goal was canceled before the break, after returning to the referee's video. Frosinone has scored 36 goals in 18 games.

Gonzalo Higuain shot a 12-meter cross over the bar to finish his ninth goalless game.

Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donaroma was saved from a goal.

Milan continued in fifth place with 28 points.
