Inter Milan lost to Napoli to narrow the gap with Juventus leading the Italian league. He was barely beaten 1-0 Wednesday at the end of phase XVIII of the competition.

At San Siro stadium, Inter Milan and Napoli nearly ended in a draw for Inter Milan, but Inter scored the winning goal in the second minute of the end of the part thanks to Lautaro Martinez.

Napoli ended the match with just nine players. Calido Coulibaly and Lorenzo Encini were sent off in the 81st minute.

Inter Milan has 36 points in third place, while Naples has 41 points, nine fewer than Juventus, who drew 2-2 at home against Atlanta earlier in the day.
