WASHINGTON (Reuters) – US researchers have discovered that aspirin helps prevent liver cancer, the third leading cause of cancer death worldwide.
Scientists studied the health status of over 170,000 patients, separated other aspirin information and compared liver condition indicators.
The results of the comparison showed a relationship confirming the ability of aspirin to prevent the development of liver cancer: people who took 325 mg of aspirin for a week were at 49% risk of developing cancer of the liver and those who took aspirin within five years to reduce by 59%.
The researchers also proved that after the cessation of aspirin, this immunity remained in the body for only 8 years.
