NEW YORK (Reuters Health) – Aspirin helps prevent liver cancer, the third leading cause of cancer deaths in the world, researchers found Monday in a Mbadachusetts hospital.
Scientists studied the health status of more than 170,000 patients and separated the information on the specific treatment of aspirin from the rest of the information, in relation to the diagnostic indicators of the liver, according to "Medical Forum ".
The results of the comparison showed a relationship confirming the ability of aspirin to prevent the development of liver cancer: people who took 325 mg of aspirin for a week were at 49% risk of developing cancer of the liver and those who took aspirin within five years to reduce by 59%.
The researchers also proved that after the cessation of aspirin, this immunity remained in the body for only 8 years.
