Magdy Abdel Ghani, board member of the Egyptian Football Federation, talked about the chances of Al Ahly and Ismaily in the African Champions League group stage.
Al Ahly was part of Group D of the African championship alongside Algerian Al-Saoura, Semba Al-Tanzani and Vita Club Congolese, while Ismaili was in the third group, along with young people from Constantine, Tunisia and Congolese.
"Al Ahly and the Vita Club will qualify," Abdul Ghani said in a special address for the championships.
"The Ismaili group is difficult, I hope to meet the dervishes and I expect Africa to qualify."
Al-Ahli lost the title of the last editions of the African Champions League, in favor of Tunis Esperance, 3-2 round trip.
