Frederic Kittinji, secretary general of the Congolese side, said that the third group he had signed for the Champions League was good and easy and that it would not pose a threat to his club.
"The team is good for us, because we will only face teams from North Africa, and this is not the first time we have teams from this region," said Kittinji at the sports portal Al Ain.
"Last season we had Algerian and Moroccan teams, and this is happening for us this season, we have no problem."
Mazembe is the second-biggest team to win the championship, with 5 tournaments tied with Zamalek, behind Egypt's Al-Ahli (8).
