As part of its attempt to win back Huawei's second position taken by Chinese, information revealed that Apple Inc. was employing to support iPhone phones equipped with Sony's three-dimensional rear-view cameras.
Sony is working on producing a new generation of 3D sensors for mobile cameras, and Sony is expected to start producing sensors by the end of next summer, Sky News quoted Bloomberg as saying.
"The cameras have revolutionized phones and I have the same expectations for 3D cameras, although the frequency varies, but we will definitely see the adoption of 3D cameras, I'm sure," said Satoshi Yoshihara, head of Sony's sensor division.
