LONDON (Reuters) – Arsenal have pulled out Tuesday night after a tough five-goal defeat in the Premier League last night.
Arsenal beat Fulham 4-0 in the 21st round of the local competition.
Arsenal has 41 points in fifth place, while Fulham has 14 points in the 19th and last place, and Liverpool has 54 points.
Arsenal and hosts ended the first period with a 1-0 win over Swiss Granit Chaka in the 25th minute.
In the 55th minute, Arsenal added a second goal by Alexandre Lacazette, after Fulham reduced the score by scoring the first goal of Senegalese Abubakar Camara in the 69th minute.
Arsenal responded to Fulham's goal with goals from Aaron Ramsay and Gabon's Pierre Obamyang in the 79th and 83rd minutes.
