Diseases such as cholera, yellow fever, polio, malaria and diarrhea have killed 1558 people, according to data from the Centers for Disease Control.
The northern province of Castina dominated most deaths from epidemics, followed by the provinces of Zamfara and Gijia.
Cholera has caused the highest number of deaths from other epidemic diseases, killing 1132 people in 30 provinces.
According to the center, the country has entered the dry season, which could lead to a resurgence of epidemic diseases in the first half of 2019.
