Bayern Munich midfielder Franck Ribery reacted to recent criticism by eating a piece of meat wrapped in a gold leaf from the famous Turkish chef Nusrat Gokja, known as Salt Bay.
The 35-year-old was criticized for his extravagance when he visited the Nusrat restaurant in Dubai for a holiday in the UAE after the Bundesliga stopped because of the winter break.

A video of Ribery, sitting in front of the Turkish cook, cut the piece of meat covered in gold before allowing the former international player to spray salt on it.
Through his official stories on social networking sites, Ribery responded to his critics with strength and inspiration and attributed the merit of his wealth to God and his efforts.
He said: "I owe you nothing, my success above all is thanks to God, for me, for my loved ones and for those who believe in me, but for others, you are only gravel in my arms."
Another video was posted by Robert Levandowski, who liked to cook Nusrat and sprinkle salt before eating, but was not criticized as Ribery.
