"Dark Mode" in Messenger protects the light in your eyes

Washington – The Facebook Messenger application has launched a new feature designed to protect the eyes of users, especially those who spend hours in front of their device, to the harmful radiation of the phone.

The social networking giant's online chat platform and conversations have launched the "dark mode" feature in some countries.

The idea is to change the color settings to reduce the glare of the screen and protect the eyes from the blue light emitted by the phone.

"We plan to present the gloomy situation after the launch of the new Messenger for all around the world," the Twitter account said on Twitter.

"Facebook has begun to seem to test a dark situation in some countries," Jane Wong, an expert in Internet applications, wrote on Twitter.

She added that the Messenger application warned against the "dark situation", but that it is not available in all countries.

The new feature comes as the social networking giant tries to use technologies that limit the light to the eyes, in order to attract more users to the Facebook Messenger application.
