MADRID (Reuters) – Real Madrid have pulled out of the league after losing their sixth loss of the season after losing 0-2 to Real Sociedad on Sunday.
Willean Jose scored in the penalty shootout and Robin Pardo played in the 83rd minute, taking advantage of the deficit of ten players in the league since the dismissal of Lucas Vázquez for the second time.
Real was stuck at 30 points to remain fifth in the standings, while Sociedad, who ended the series of defeats he has suffered in his last four games, rose 22 points to 11 points.
This is Suciedad's first win against Real at the stadium, Santiago Bernabeu, the stronghold of the White House 14 years ago. The Basque team's last win came back to his royal counterpart, fifth in fifth place in 2005, when he beat Real 1-0.
