The executive board of the African Football Confederation (CAF) declared the "host country" of the 2019 African nations.
Egypt won the Copa del Rey 2019 after a fierce competition with South Africa and returned to host the Nations Cup after 13 years.
Karam Karadi, a member of the football federation, said that Egypt had 15 votes and 2 votes for South Africa out of the 20 members of an executive bureau that attended the vote.
The African Union has decided to withdraw Cameroon's organization.
