The Qatari team kicked off their Asian Nations Cup playoffs with a 2-0 win over their Lebanese counterpart at their Wednesday meeting in Al Ain, UAE.
Qatar defender Bbadam Hisham Al Rawi Annabi put the ball in the lead with a superb free kick from the penalty area in the 65th minute.
Al-Moez Ali Abdullah doubled Qatar's score after a 79th-minute match at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain.
Qatar finished third in Group E with a goal difference behind Saudi Arabia, who won Tuesday's North Korea 4-0, followed by Lebanon in third and then North Korea. In fourth and last place.
