MADRID (Reuters) – The Belgian international Tepo Cortua has injured a hip muscle which could keep him away from important matches in the coming days, Real Madrid said in a statement.
The club pointed out that Cortois' injury was first clbad, which is apart from the team that will face Liganes in the first round of the 16 Spain Cup, according to "AFP".
"After testing today on our player Tibo Cortua by the medical services of Real Madrid, he was diagnosed with a first-degree injury to a left hip muscle," the club said.
In addition to the quarter-final against Liganes on Wednesday, Cortois will likely miss a league match against Real Betis on Sunday.
Real play against Leganes Wednesday, before welcoming Seville in third place three days later.
The Costa Rican Kellor Navas should play for Cortois in the goalkeeper during his absence.
