Jordan finished the group stage with seven points in Group B, followed by Australia with six points after a 3-2 win over Syria.
The defeat of Syria kept the Palestinians among the top four in the group, finishing second in Group B with two points in three games, while Syria called the tournament after a point in advance.

The Palestinians will qualify for the second round if two of the four matches bring the teams that did not score in the first two games of the third group, the fourth, fifth and sixth draws.
The four matches are Kyrgyzstan against the Philippines, Vietnam against Yemen, Lebanon against North Korea and Oman against Turkmenistan. Bahrain, third in group A, has already secured one of the top four teams in third place.
