The images sent by the probe show the appearance of sprouts on cottonseed. This means that the Chang-e-4 probe has achieved the first biological experiment of human history on the moon.
Six organic species were used in this experiment, including cotton, chamomile, potatoes, thyme, fruit flies and yeast. The pictures show that the germs of all the cotton seeds are growing well.
These buds are the first to develop on the moon under harsh environmental conditions, such as low gravity, intense radiation and high temperature variations.
