Beijing – The Belgian international Moussa Dembelli has left Tottenham Hotspur, the club announced on Thursday.
The transfer of 31-year-old midfielder to the Chinese league is estimated at around 12 million euros.
Guanzhou confirmed the transfer of Dimbili under a three-year contract in a published statement without specifying the value of his salary, while signing a player "in good physical condition and able to control the ball".
"The club is convinced that Moussa Dembili, one of the world's stars, will make the team more competitive," he said.
Dembili, who will play with his new team under Serbian coach Dragan Stojkovic, has not played a lot of games with Tottenham because of an injury.
The midfielder defended his country's shirt in 81 international matches.
Dempsey joined Tottenham in 2012, starting his career in Belgium, before wearing the Dutch team's t-shirt and Dutch Fulham, then Fulham, where he spent two years.
