Video: Mehdi Ali reveals why he was honored at the "Asian Cup"

Mehdi Ali, the former coach of the United Arab Emirates team, confirmed that he was honored by the organizing committee of the 2019 Asian Cup because of his role within national teams of UAE in different age groups.

Mohammed Khalfan Al Rumaithi, President of the General Authority of Sports of the United Arab Emirates, paid tribute to Mehdi Ali at the official dinner of the 2019 Asian Cup.

In a statement to the sports portal Al Ain, Mehdi said: "I am happy with this honor, having worked for a long time with the national teams, successful to reach the first team".

"I thank them for this honor and hope that the tournament will continue until the end of the same level of organization, as we have always done to offer the best."
