The Qatari team defeated Iraq 1-0 in the Al-Nahyan match at the Al-Wahda Stadium in the 16th round of the Asian Cup in the United Arab Emirates.
After 62 minutes, Bbadam Hisham Al Rawi was the lone goal.
With this result, Qatar qualifies for the quarter-finals of the tournament.
Iraq was second in Group D with seven points, Al-Rafidain defeating Vietnam 3-2 and Yemen 3/0, tied with goal-scorching Iran.
Qatar finished first in Group E with nine points overall, beating Korea DPR 6-0, beating Lebanon 2-1 and Saudi Arabia 2/0.
