CAIRO, Egypt (Reuters) – Egyptian star Mohamed Salah on Tuesday raised the specter of Liverpool fans after posting a tweet on the social networking site, which many fans have called "mysterious".
"Resolution 2019: The time has come for true communication," wrote Salah in a short excerpt.
As soon as the tweet was published, Liverpool fans quickly wrote comments by the thousands, but most of them wondered about the fate of the player with the Reds.
"Who are you communicating with, Mo?" Wrote another Liverpool fan, "Where are you, Salah?"
The British newspaper "Liverpool Echo" commented on the tweet Salah, noting that he wanted to make a new decision early in the new year.
The paper pointed out that Salah could refer to the criticism that was sent to him, after being accused of asking for "penalties" in recent clashes in Liverpool in the English Premier League.
