The search engine giant Google is preparing to extend its services to web users by exploiting the popular Google Duo application for video chat and offering users in the coming weeks.
According to Sky News Arabia, Google will publish a copy of the chat application to be available on Chrome, as well as other competing browsers such as Mozilla Firefox and Apple Safari, as well as a separate application form can be obtained from Google Play Store or Apple Store.
This involves extending the Google Checkout service to reach more users, but it is not yet clear whether the web version of the app will include all the features of the app separate.
But are likely to include, at least, basic Duo features such as Knock Knock and the ability to leave video messages.
Google Web Video Chat supports up to 7 people at a time. Users must first create a group of contacts with whom they wish to chat with voice and video, then make a call with everyone at the same time.
