Anas Dakkali, Minister of Health, announced Thursday in Rabat that five deaths due to the H1N1 flu had been recorded at the level of public and private health structures, stressing that these deaths were particularly important for people in precarious situation.

The minister called for greater vigilance on the part of these people, especially the elderly and children aged six months to five, pregnant women and people with chronic diseases, diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, kidney and respiratory failure.
The health minister also called on these people to follow a "health system" by washing their hands several times a day and avoiding people with the flu by using paper towels.
He added that the Ministry of Health recommended these people to be vaccinated against influenza during the campaign, which began in the fall and continues.
People with influenza, whose condition may deteriorate, should "go to the nearby clinics, clinics, clinics and hospitals as soon as possible".
He confirmed that the Ministry of Health maintains a daily epidemiological alert at 375 health centers to monitor the course of influenza, stressing that this evolution was normal until 31 January.
The Minister of Health pointed out that there was a delay of two weeks at the height of the outbreak this year without exceeding the epidemic threshold of previous years.
