MADRID (Reuters) – The Spanish club Barcelona has revealed that Borussia Dortmund has placed the order form agreed in the Baku contract.

Dortmund was cleared to sign a contract with Barcelona striker Alcacer after paying 23 million euros to the club.

Barcelona said in a statement that Borussia Dortmund would pay an additional 5 million euros in additional fees to the 25-year-old player, while retaining a 5% stake in any future sales.

"Borussia Dortmund has benefited from the option of a permanent transfer in the agreement reached with Barcelona last August about Baku Alcacer," said the club in a statement.

Alcacer joined Barcelona for 30 million euros from Valencia in 2016, but did not have a chance with the Catalan club. Since then he has been transferred to Dortmund last summer.

The player scored 16 goals in 20 appearances with his new team and the national team, thus helping to give Dortmund a 6-point lead over his closest rivals.
