The Moroccan Ministry of Health announced the deaths of 11 cases of H5N1 virus out of a total of 58 cases with severe acute respiratory infections, 15 patients to cure, while 32 patients were receiving treatment.
The ministry said in a statement today that the death was due to complications badociated with at least one vulnerability factor, namely pregnancy or chronic diseases, or at the age factor (65 years and over). more or less than 5 years).
These cases are distributed in several cities of the country, four in Casablanca, three in Tangier and one in Rabat, Fez, Tanant and Azilal.
According to the Moroccan Ministry of Health, laboratory tests on 684 samples taken from patients with influenza-like illness or acute respiratory infections have revealed the infection of 160 samples of influenza viruses, or 23.3 %.
