Qatar and the International Football Federation (FIFA) have announced the creation of a joint venture company responsible for organizing the World Football Championship in 2022.

The joint venture will be called "Qatar 2022 LCC Soccer World Cup" (Qatar 2022 World Football Cup). This innovative model aims to improve the efficiency and control of the sports event planning process for all stakeholders.
The board of directors comprises nine members, including Fatima Samura, the first female FIFA secretary general.
The council held its first meeting on Tuesday.
Qatar will become the first Arab country to host the FIFA World Cup, which will take place in November and December 2022 in 12 stadiums in seven cities of Qatar.
