The two organs of legitimacy and leadership of the Alawi Islamic Council held a meeting at the headquarters of the Council in Jabal Mohsen – Tripoli, chaired by the President of Sheikh Shaaban Hamdan and in the presence of MP Ali Darwish and its members.
On this occasion, the participants issued a statement declaring that "the opening of candidatures for the post of President of the Islamic Council of Alawi and his deputy from Tuesday, July 23 to Thursday, July 25 to July 19, and that each one has the conditions of appointment stipulated in paragraphs (D) and (e) of article 1 of law 140 of 9-7-2019 have the right to submit a candidacy to the secretariat of the Council, to send to the secretary a confirmation of the signed position confirming his / her candidacy and to withdraw the duly registered applications to the secretariat of the council as soon as possible Monday 29 / 7-2019, provided that the candidate transmits to the secretariat a written declaration in which he withdraws his candidacy , where 31/07/2019 the eleventh hour before noon at the headquarters of the Higher Islamic Council in Tripoli ".
