New case of human trafficking linked to "Maurice chez"

Mount Lebanon Judge Nadim Nashif has published an indictment in a case of prostitution and human trafficking in a case related to the case of the network Maurice at network , whose members were seized by the security forces in February 2016.

The decision considered that the acts of the accused were a crime to which the provisions of Articles 586 of the Penal Code and 219 of the Penal Code were applicable, and that the requests for the release of the detainees and the referral of the case to the criminal court were decided.

The case of the prostitution network in the Mauritius hotels and Silver of the region of Mouallatin concerns the Lebanese public opinion for almost three years and employs about 75 Syrian girls who are brought to Lebanon to work in prostitution under the blows, torture and intimidation in the cellars of the hotel.
