DEDI and TOYOTA create joint venture for intelligent transport
BEIJING, July 26 (Xinhua) – China's mobile transportation platform, Didi Chuxing, has established cooperation with Japanese automaker Toyota to expand their smart transport partnership.
Didi announced Thursday that Toyota would invest $ 600 million in DEDI and a joint venture that the two companies will create with GAC Toyota Motor Limited to provide vehicle-related services for DIDI taxi drivers.
The two sides announced their cooperation in the e-palit shop, Toyota's Toyota self-driven store, in January 2018, and experimented with vehicle services for taxi drivers on the Didi network.
"We look forward to combining our company's expertise in large-scale mobility-based artificial intelligence and Toyota's pioneering automotive technology to create a next-generation intelligent transfer framework for sustainable cities." "said Stephen Chu, vice president of Didi.
Last year, DEDI launched an intersectoral alliance with major automakers and domestic and foreign industry players to create an open platform for tomorrow's automotive solutions.
