The FIFA Club World Cup will take place in Qatar from 11 to 21 December, FIFA announced on Friday.
In June, FIFA granted Qatar the honor of hosting the 2019 and 2020 editions with the participation of seven clubs, in anticipation of the organization of the first World Cup in the Middle East in 2022.
"The tournament will include eight matches and the draw will determine the identity of both teams in the second and semi-finals at the FIFA headquarters in Zurich on 16 September," said the International Federation.
The three clubs to date are: Liverpool, European champions Monterrey, CONCACAF champions in Mexico, and New Caledonia's Hyangan Sport, Oceania champions and African champions , from Asia and South America.
"If the Qatari team is directly elected in the second round of the 2019 World Cup Qatar, the Asian champions will play against Hyangan Sport and if a Qatari team is not crowned, First match of the Qatar national team against Hyangan Sport on December 11th.
The winners of the opening match with Asia, Africa and CONCACAF play the second round and qualify to face South America and Europe in the semi-finals .
Viva added that stadiums and schedules would be announced on time.
The FIFA Council decided last March to extend the tournament to 24 teams from 2021 instead of the current version, which will be held every four years and not every year as is currently the case.
But the next two versions will be valuable tests for the run-up to the 2022 World Cup, as their timing matches the next version of the World Cup, allowing testing in similar weather conditions.

The European Clubs Association has confirmed that it will not participate in the World Cup if the number of participants increases to 24 by 2021.
The club, which represents 232 European clubs and is led by Italian President Andrea Aniele, said in a message to the President of FIFA, Enfantino – "his categorical refusal to approve the extension of the Club World Cup" .
A trial version will take place between June 17 and July 4, 2021, bringing together eight European clubs (at the time, the European Union and FIFA had increased the number to 12) and six clubs from South America. Africa, Asia and CONCACAF share three clubs each, Oceania representing a team.
Real Madrid has won the last three trophies as champions of Europe. The final victory is made at the expense of Al Al Ain 4-1.
