In his first comment on the death of his father, Farouk al-Fishawi, Ahmed explained that his father, deceased, had recommended that he be buried in Menoufia Sars El-Layan, in the midst of his family and his people in his country.

The great artist Farouk al-Fishawi died Thursday, at the age of 67, in a hospital in Dokki, Cairo, following a brief conflict with cancer. His health deteriorated in the last two days and he was taken to the hospital, after which his health deteriorated considerably and hepatic function was completely stopped.
