The Kuwaiti Ministry of Health has referred a number of well-known social networking sites to the Public Prosecution Service for publishing unauthorized health products.
"Health products announced by some famous sites are not allowed to be announced by the ministry," Abdullah Al-Bader, badistant undersecretary for food and drug control, told Reuters on Monday.
He confirmed that she was violating the law governing the advertising of health-related articles and that the sentence incurred was one year imprisonment and a fine of 1,000 dinars.

He added: "This is against the law regulating advertising for health-related articles, which prohibits, without the authorization of the Ministry of Health, to advertise by any means on drugs, mixtures or herbal or animal preparations, chemicals or special foods with health effects ". This is for treatment or effect in the form or appearance or for losing weight and so on. "
He pointed out that the penalty for unlicensed advertising ranged from imprisonment to one year maximum, to a fine of 1,000 dinars ($ 3,300) or to one of those penalties.
