Maximize the role of the private sector in the new comprehensive health insurance system

Dr. Hala Zayed, Minister of Health and Population, and General Adel Al-Ghadhban, Governor of Port Said, held a meeting at the headquarters of the new Hall of Operations for comprehensive health insurance.

Dr. Ahmed Al-Sabki, Assistant Minister for Surveillance and Monitoring, Executive Director of the Global Health Insurance Project, Dr. Ahmed Mohey Al Qbaded, Deputy Minister of Hospital Affairs and Affiliated Bodies, Dr. Mohamed Abdel Rahman, Advisor to the Minister of the Technical Support and Projects Section, Ministry.

The meeting reviewed the hands-on training provided as part of the "Data Show" of the medical team of Al-Nasr Children's Specialized Hospital, in order to measure the physical condition.

During the meeting, the Minister of Health prepared an investment plan for the remaining 26 governorates in order to benefit from the establishment of the new comprehensive health insurance, particularly in the governorates of the country. Ismailia, Suez, South Sinai, Luxor and Aswan, referring to the establishment of the system in five governorates on July 1 of the year 2020.

He also stressed that it was important to take advantage of the experience gained through the implementation of the system in the governorate of Port Said to the rehabilitation of the following governorates, in accordance with international standards and taking into account account of the population of each governorate.

In addition to maximizing the benefits of the role of the private sector in the new system for the benefit of patients, in addition to encouraging investment in the health sector, in accordance with the needs of the system.
