BERLIN (Reuters) – Striker Borussia Dortmund's Marco Royce won Sunday's German Player of the Year award from Kicker magazine.
De Royce scored 17 goals, leading his team to finish last season behind Bayern Munich, who won the title on the last lap.
Royce won 158 votes in the poll of journalists, while Kay Haverz of Bayer Leverkusen was second with 121 votes, followed by Joshua Kemic of Bayern Munich in third place with 35 votes.
