DUBAI (Reuters) – Qatar Petroleum (QP) announced on Monday that it has signed an agreement with Total to take a stake in exploration and production sharing in two offshore areas of France's energy giant. off Guyana.

Qatar Petroleum has announced that it would obtain 40% of Total's 25% stake in the exploration and exploration rights in the Orindwick region of the Guiana Maritime Basin and 40% of % of its exploration and participation rights of 25% in the Canuku region in the same basin.

The other two partners in the Orindwick region are Tolo Oil (60%) and Echo Atlantic (15%), while Canoco's other partners are Repsol and Tolo Oil (37.5% each).
