Fawzi in Germany does not change the reality of the tournament

Red Bull is still third in the standings behind the Mercedes duo, who control the season since Lewis Hamilton and Valletti Potas.

But the man's second win of the season means he is only 22 points behind Botas, who failed to score points in Germany.

The penalties imposed after the race against the Alfa Romeo duo led Hamilton to inherit a place in the top 10, capturing two points of a disastrous race that led him to 11th place in the ring.

The British now have 63 points ahead of Verstauben and 84 points against Sebastian Vettel.

But Versthaben does not see the Hockenheim race as the event that will affect the shape of this battle, pointing out that the Mercedes still has the dominant package in the tournament in a normal atmosphere.

"Mercedes is ahead of the tournament, the difference is greater than two wins and it's still the dominant team in my opinion," said Fürstaben.

"We managed to do a good job, but we still have a lot to fill and we are already competing to win all the races."

Verstauben qualified for second place, beating Potas, and was more likely to get close to Hamilton than the 0.364 second difference that separated them. The Dutch qualifiers in the third qualifying round were not good enough.

Verstahnaben and teammate Pier Gbadley made a bad start in the rain due to a suspicious engine mapping problem.

The Dutchman slipped to fourth place in the first round, but he quickly returned to third place, Kimi Raikkonen of Alfa Romeo, chasing Potas until the Red Bull driver stops for the second step and lay the Medium Smooth tires.

But that did not seem to be the right choice, the Verstahnaben sliding along the line, but he made no other mistake and took advantage of Mercedes' disastrous race.

"We had to maintain our goal because many mistakes could not have been made," said the Dutchman.

"Now, after the race, I can say that I drove the car to the public in the ring, but the situation was really difficult so with the media tires, the cohesion was very weak."
