"Higher Education" made the decision not to welcome students from these universities

The Minister of Education and Higher Education, Akram Shahib, held a meeting of the Council of Higher Education in the presence of members and experts.

The Director General, Fadi Yareq, attended the meeting on "The Steps of the Work of the Technical Committee and the Reclbadification of the Files so that the Council of Higher Education can review the nominations and make the appropriate decisions".

The Council instructed "an emergency committee composed of members of the Council, the Equation Committee and the Lebanese University to propose a mechanism for deciding the conditions of residence of students within a period of time". a week so that the Council can discuss and give instructions. "

This mechanism includes the validation of certificates and declarations and thus allows validation and equivalence. Universities include A. Sidon, A.U.C.E and U.L.F.

The meeting took the appropriate decisions regarding requests from the institutions, as reported by the Technical Committee and following Council discussions.

The Higher Education Council also asked the Directorate General of Higher Education to prepare a report on the "reality of the case concerning the requests made to the technical committee and the specialized committees, as well as only on filing the report of the Council of Higher Education ".

And decided "to instruct a board member to develop a list of lexicon labels for degrees and levels of education".

He referred to the Technical Committee "all new applications of existing universities in terms of new specialties or branches".

The Council also made the decision to inform all higher education institutions not to host students in unapproved branches or specialties, under the responsibility of legal responsibility.
