Scientists have not followed a meteoroid called Asteroid 2019 OK, which appears to come from an unknown source.
According to the data, the size of the meteor ranged from 57 to 130 meters and was moving at high speed as it was only 73,000 kilometers from Earth and less than one-fifth the distance between the Earth and the Moon.
"I was shocked by the fact that this meteorite is probably larger than the meteorites that have approached Earth for many years," the Washington Post reported.
But how did scientists fail to observe it? Professor:
Second, we rely on the reflected sun. Even when the asteroid "Asteroid 2019 OK" approaches, it is difficult to see with a telescope.
Thirdly, potential operators to determine its earlier position were the "irregular" and elliptical orbits and its speed of 24 km per second, the observed meteorological velocity being between 4 and 19 km per second.
According to scientists, the lack of meteor observation indicates that we know very little about the space and the danger that meteorites represent.
