The results of the 2017-2018 Income, Expenditure and Consumption Survey revealed that the average annual expenditure of the Egyptian family for health services and services is around 5095 LE.

The results, announced by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS), revealed at a press conference held today that spending on drugs and medical devices occupied the first 55%, followed by 29% for outpatient services and 16% for hospital services.

The purpose of the research is to provide detailed data to identify patterns of consumption in society and the changes that occur there, as well as data to measure the standard of living, the levels and the map of poverty.
