A team of Australian researchers has used a common technology on smart phones to help predict people's personality. REMET scientists have collected data from devices known as accelerometers, which detect motion in stereoscopic ways.

These devices use many applications, such as gaming applications and integrity applications, that track the number of steps that a user performs each day.

Previously, scientists were able to predict the types of personalities of phone users by examining the frequency and duration of their phone calls or their behavior in messages, but accelerometer data could make these predictions more accurate because research has shown that owners of different characters often display the behavior stands out when there is physical activity.

For the study, the team explored this question by examining five so-called great characters: extinction, openness, acceptance, consciousness, and nervousness.

Scientists found that people with a regular pattern of movement during the week tended to be more introverted, while those with more random movement patterns were more open, explaining that openers could meet different groups of people on the move. evening. They are more open to unexpected projects.

People who exhibited more random patterns, were busier on weekends and evenings on ordinary days, tended to be more acceptable, which meant that they were friendly and rude.

Women had the highest scores in neurology, that is, they were more nervous and more sensitive because they tended to move regularly with their phones early in the morning. The researchers say that the results of this study can have many consequences.
