FC Porto announced Monday that it had rejected Monaco's bid to recruit midfielder Danilo Pereira.
The 27-year-old midfielder said he was "not ready for the move this season," adding that he had received an offer from Monaco to give up his captain.
He said he hoped to "put an end to all speculation on this issue".
According to media reports, Monaco has made an offer of 30 million euros to join the 2016 Europe Cup with his country and the contract with Porto until 2022.
At the beginning of his career, Danilo took the colors of Parma before entering Maritimo between 2013 and 2015, which allowed him to settle in Porto in July 2015 with a fine of 40 million euros.
