The World Health Organization (WHO) has published an updated list of "essential drugs", adding drugs for cancer, stroke, rheumatoid arthritis and inflammatory bowel disease.
The list included five new cancer treatments, based on improving their survival rates, used to treat lung tumors, blood, and prostate cancer.
She has also recommended the use of two new immunotherapy drugs, nivolomb and bermolizumab, which have contributed to a 50% survival rate of patients with late-stage melanoma incurable until recently.
