Appointment of smoking cessation clinics in psychiatric hospitals

The General Secretariat for Mental Health and Addiction Treatment has announced the opening of smoking cessation clinics in its affiliated hospitals.

This specialized service has been developed by the Ministry of Mental Health since February 2019. It started at Abbasiya Hospital for Mental Health, where the clinic started its experimental work for 4 months and clinics were opened in June in other General Secretariat hospitals for the treatment of mental health and addictions.

The clinics help citizens quit smoking in accordance with international guidelines in this area, which provide several means of eliminating psychological problems, including medication, and treating badociated disorders resulting from smoking by a medical specialist.

Vito publishes the dates of these clinics from 9h to 12h throughout the week:
1 – Abbasiya Hospital (Cairo) and works on Sundays every week.
2- The Heliopolis Hospital (airport) is open on Tuesdays.
Helwan Hospital (Cairo) is open every Monday.
4- Banha Mental Health Hospital (Qalioubia) and open every Saturday.
5 – Almaamoura Mental Health Hospital (Alexandria) and operated on a Tuesday a week.
6 – Abbas Helmi Center (Ajmi Alexandria) and works on Wednesday of each week.
7. The Dumira Mental Health Hospital (Dakahlia) is open every Wednesday.
8. The Al-Azazi Psychiatric Hospital (East) is open every Thursday.
9 – Tanta Hospital for Mental Health (Western) and open on Mondays of the week.
10- Shebin El Koum Mental Health Hospital (El Monoufia), open every Wednesday.
11 – Aswan Mental Health Hospital (Aswan) and works on Sundays every week.
12 – Assiut Mental Health Hospital (Assiut) and open on Mondays of the week.
13- Menia Mental Health Hospital (Minya) and works on Sundays every week.
