The Argentinian confederation announces the retention of Scalloni as technical director until the 2022 World Cup

The Argentine Football Federation announced Tuesday that his coach, Lionel Scalloni, would remain coach of "Albiceleste" until the 2022 World Cup, having worked temporarily since the Russian World Cup. ;last summer.

"The executive committee of the Argentine Football Federation has decided to keep Lionel Scalloni at the head of the first team in qualifying for the 2022 World Cup," said the Argentine Football Federation in a brief statement.

Scalloni was a member of the technical staff of former coach Jorge Sampaoli, before receiving the technical direction after the departure of the Latin team of the Russia World Cup final prize by France, which resulted in the dismissal of Sampaoli.

The team consists of former Argentinian stars, defenders Walter Samuel and Fabian Ayala, midfielder Pablo Iimar, as well as Cesar Luis Menotti, director of the national teams.
